Event Notice & Handling of Personal Information

This notice applies to the Tenso Shrine Festival mikoshi event for hotel guests in Tsurumaki-cho, Waseda, Shinjuku-ku (Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2026). The event is open to people who agree that we will use photos and video taken at the event for our PR — posting on our website and official social media, and providing them to media covering the event and to partner companies. If you agree with the following, please apply through the form.

Please note

• Participation is free. A happi coat is lent to participants free of charge on the day.
• If there are more applicants than places, we select by lottery. We email the meeting point and time to selected guests who confirm they will attend, before the event day.
• Any communication charges for applying or replying, round-trip transport to the venue, and any accommodation costs are borne by the guest.
• The organizer accepts no liability for accidents, injury or illness during the event, loss of belongings, or other incidents. Please take part at your own responsibility, and if you are feeling unwell, please use your own judgment and refrain from taking part.
• On the day, our staff may photograph the venue, including participants. How these are used is explained under “Photography & filming” below.

Photography & filming (consent to PR use)

To record the day, our staff take photos and video. Photos and video that include participants may be posted on our website and official social media, and may be provided to news media covering the event and to partner companies for publication or broadcast. This use is separate from the purposes described in “Handling of personal information” below, so we only accept applications from people who agree to it.

• I agree to the use of photos and video taken at the event for the organizer’s PR purposes (posting on the website, social media, etc.).
• Please understand that we cannot contact you individually to confirm before publication.

News media may also cover and film the event independently. In that case, the handling of those photos and footage is the responsibility of that media organization and is outside this consent.

Handling of personal information

The personal information you enter when applying (name, contact details, etc.) is used only within the following purposes:

• Contacting you about the lottery result and responding to your inquiries
• Checking attendees on the day of the event
• Running and managing this event

We do not use your personal information for any purpose beyond the above, and we never provide the personal information we hold to a third party without your consent. However, if we receive a formal disclosure request based on law from the police or a public authority, we may provide information within the necessary scope.

In operating the application form we use an external service (such as Google Forms). In that case we entrust the handling of personal information to that provider within the necessary scope, and we require appropriate safety-management measures of them.
